You will be responsible for developing new business across all modes of freight (air, ocean, and road) for the overall sales development of the company in the Cape Town region. You will plan and manage medium to large-sized business customers, recommending solutions based on customer needs and closing business by connecting a customer's needs to a comprehensive supply chain solution.

The Ideal Candidate:

• ESSENTIAL: 5-8 years within the transport, logistics, or freight forwarding industry (or a similar service industry)

• ESSENTIAL: Proven experience in business development in the industry with a proven record essential

• ESSENTIAL: A deep understanding of the freight-forwarding environment, including air, ocean, road freight, and customs clearing

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• A relevant university degree is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive new business development to achieve and exceed sales targets across all modes

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in medium to large businesses

• Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, developing strategic sales plans and target lists

• Conduct high-quality presentations of the company's full range of products and services

• Manage the entire sales cycle, including RFI/RFQ/RFP management, negotiation, and closing of contracts

• Seek and prospect for BC targets to win new customers generally in the 60k-1000k Euro range Net Sales per annum

• Achieve 2.5X CTC within 3 months of starting in the position
