FINANCIAL MODELLING SPECIALIST – PROJECT FINANCE

Fempower Personnel is recruiting an experienced Financial Modelling Specialist for a leading Finance Institution.

We are looking for a hands-on Project Finance Financial Modeller with proven experience developing complex financial models for infrastructure projects on a limited-recourse basis.

This is not a general Corporate Finance/M&A modelling role. Strong, practical Project Finance modelling experience is essential.

What we're looking for:

• Relevant Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or related field

• Minimum 5 years' financial modelling experience

• Proven Project Finance and infrastructure modelling experience

• Demonstrable experience building project-finance models from scratch

• Advanced Excel and VBA capability

• Strong understanding of:

  • Debt sizing and sculpting

  • DSCR and LLCR

  • Cash-flow waterfalls

  • Interest during construction

  • Debt service reserve accounts

  • Cash sweeps and circular references

  • Gearing optimisation

  • Scenario and sensitivity analysis

• Ability to translate commercial and legal agreements into financial modelling logic

• Understanding of EPC, O&M and offtake agreements within project-finance structures

• Exposure to infrastructure sectors such as energy, water, transport, ICT and/or PPPs

• Strong due diligence and advisory capability

Water infrastructure project-finance modelling experience will be highly advantageous.

Candidates whose experience is predominantly Corporate Finance, M&A or valuations without hands-on Project Finance experience will not meet the requirements of this position.
